Community Design Teams
Community Design Teams (C.D.T.s) are the university's way of giving back to the community while letting students learn in a real environment with real clients. We start by fielding requests and meeting with clients and move all the way to presenting them with posters of the student designs.
I have been involved with this program for three years now in all its functions as team member, team lead, and now as the program manager of all the teams. I work closely with David Evans and in 2016 we have had around 43 students participating in the C.D.T.s and over ten different projects. These projects range from dentist office courtyards and residential homes to downtown master plans, T.O.D. planning, and wildlife restoration projects. I have received a scholarship for my work with the Community Design Teams this year.
